College Family,

Today is the nationwide Collegiate Prayer Day (https://www.collegiatedayofprayer.org), a day set aside to pray for our college campuses. As Heartland Christian College is not yet fully accredited, we are not on the list of colleges to be prayed for, however, I would ask you as our family to join us in prayer for our campus, and for colleges around the nation.

Nationally, much is at stake. There is much hostility towards evangelical Christianity from a majority of college professors. Truth is being assaulted at every turn. At the same time, Christian students are being persecuted in the classroom for their faith. Our nation’s colleges have always been the seedbeds for the next generation of leaders. There has not been a time when it is more important than today that righteous leaders are raised up in this country. Please pray that revivals would breakout across the campuses around our nation, and the tide would turn towards righteousness.

Locally, HCC greatly values your continued prayers. We too need God to move in a greater way in our midst. Pray for the administration, staff, and faculty that we hear the voice of God in leading the college and in the educating and training of a new generation of disciples who are fervently in love with Jesus, and who are wanting above all else to see the kingdom of God expanded. Please pray for our continued forward progress with regards to accreditation. We were recently granted a evaluation team visit, which will be scheduled for fall 2015. There is much preparation that needs to take place over the next several months within the internal workings of the college, and within the physical remodeling of the building, most particularly the library and new classroom. Please pray for a growing stream of external funding to come into the college. Our next Friends of the College Banquet is scheduled for April 21st. Please pray for our Spring Board of Trustees Meeting that will take place this Friday afternoon. We are being served by a wonderful group of Trustees who value your prayers. Beyond a greater experience of the reality of the Presence of God on our campus, the next most important issue that you can pray with us about is the recruitment of new students, both from around this nation and from abroad. This is an all important area that we are currently focusing much attention towards. Please pray that God would bring us a great crop of new students for this fall, whom we are called to teach and train.

Thank you for your prayers and continued support for HCC.

Sincerely,

Kris R. Palmer
