Kris, Martha, and Dave left for Florida today. They will be meeting with the ABHE Commission Tuesday morning at 10:45 est (9:45 central time) and should find out then whether or not HCC has been approved for Candidate status. Please keep them in your prayers along with the members of the Commission as they make this decision.

Friday chapel is at the White’s home at 8:00 am.

Friday chapel is prayer in the Upper Commons at 8:00 am.

Sunday, Feb. 19th is HCC’s nursing home week with the nursing home in Shelbina. If you are available Sunday afternoon and would like to go to the nursing home to do a short service please contact Martha Palmer.

Monday, Feb. 20th is a College Meeting Day. There will be no morning classes, but there will be Monday evening classes. Monday morning students will meet in the Upper Commons at 8:00 am, dress code is the same as that for classes.

Feb. 20-25 Dave, Kris, and Martha will be in Florida to meet with the ABHE Commission regarding approval of candidate status and for the annual ABHE Conference. Please keep them in your prayers, and the Commission as they decide whether or not the College will receive candidate status.

Thursday, January 26th, is a College Meeting Day. There will be no classes this day. Traditional college students will be going with staff and faculty to bowl in Quincy. Please meet at the dorms at 8:00 am; we will leave by 8:15 am and return close to 1:00 pm.

Chapel this Friday is at Molly and Jared Nickerson’s home at 8:00 am.

The Heartland Creamery is doing cheese promotions every weekend throughout the midwest, and they are asking for volunteers to help with the promotions. Students are encouraged to volunteer for a weekend; this would need to be cleared with your employer and a ministry trip request filled out and turned into the Dean of Students.

Tomorrow’s chapel, Jan. 13th, has changed locations. We will now meet at the Palmer’s house at 8:00 am.

Monday evening classes begin tonight! Both classes will meet in the Bible college rooms over in the dorm gym. Relational Theology will meet in Room 1, downstairs, and New Testament Survey will meet in Room 2, upstairs. Both classes meet from 6p-9p.

Friday chapel is at Dave Barton’s house at 8:00 am.

Friday is the last free day to add/drop classes. After Friday, only a portion of tuition will be refunded for dropped classes. See the College Catalog for the schedule of refunds.

Welcome back students, and a special welcome to those that are new to the college this semester! Classes are now underway. If you have any issues with your schedule or need to make changes, please see the Registrar in the HCC Office.

We will have chapel on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week at 8:30. Tuesday finals will begin immediately after chapel, around 9:00.

Finals week is here! There is a possibility of a slight schedule change on Tuesday and Thursday, so check back for updated information, or check with the HCC Office.

Friday is the college Christmas party. It will be at the Ozark House at 8:30 am. Don’t forget to bring your Secret Santa gift!

Friday evening is the Heartland employee Christmas party for all full-time and part-time employees. Dinner begins at 6:00 pm, doors open at 5:30 pm.
