  Seasoned men and women of God who love the coming generations make up the staff and faculty of HCC. Students will find true mentors among these men and women who are available both inside and outside of the classroom to listen, talk, pray, and assist in every area of a student's life.


CHARLES SHARPE

Charlie Sharpe was born and raised on a farm in Northern Missouri. He became a Christian in 1947, and in 1964 founded Ozark National Life Insurance Company. He experienced joys and sorrows in the ensuing years, but the love of Jesus Christ remains his cornerstone. Today Charlie lives in the Heartland community with his wife, Laurie. He serves as the pastor of Heartland Academy Community Church and President of CNS International Ministries, Inc., which encompasses Heartland Christian Academy, Heartland Recovery Center, and Heartland Christian College. He continues to help set direction for the Bible College and to challenge young people through his life of persistent prayer and uncompromising zeal.


KRIS PALMER

Kris, HCC's President, is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University and has served more than fifteen years in Christian education and church leadership. He currently is working on his Masters in Religion from Liberty University. He and his wife, Martha, are the parents of four children, ranging in age from young adulthood to elementary school.


DAVID BARTON

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Tech from Northeast Missouri State University and has worked as a supervisor for a manufacturing plant for sixteen years while leading a youth department of a local church. Dave is the College’s Dean of Administration and Dean of Students while currently enrolled in the Master of Ministry program at Temple Baptist Seminary.


MOLLY NICKERSON

Molly is a graduate of Northeast Missouri Bible College and currently serves as the registrar for Heartland Christian College. She is active in many areas of the Heartland community including the worship team and the publications department. Molly and her husband, Jared, are the parents of three little boys.


MARTHA PALMER

Martha is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught in public and private school systems for more than seventeen years and is now serving as the College Academic Dean and Assistant Dean of Students. Martha has her Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. She and her husband, Kris, have four children.


DARIN RIHANEK

Darin and his wife, Christie, are both graduates of Northeast Missouri Bible College and have served in the Residential Living Department of the school for the past few years. Darin is also active on the worship team, and teaches at the Bible College. Darin and Christie have three children.


CHRISTIE RIHANEK

Christie is a graduate of Northeast Missouri Bible College, where she learned first-hand the value of loving God and serving Him alongside other disciples. Christie has a heart for worship and teaches in the HCC Worship Arts department. The Rihaneks have Taya, Emilee and a newborn that regularly accompany them to Bible College events.


AUDREY EMERSON

Audrey holds a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State College but her real passion comes from discipling others in a real walk with the God who has restored her life. She oversees the Heartland Women's Recovery Program, teaches in the Bible College and serves on the Heartland worship team. Audrey and her husband, John, have two children.


KATHY NICKERSON

Kathy Nickerson is the office manager at Calvary Medical Center, writes for the publications department and teaches at the Bible College. She and her husband, Wendell, have been parents to many students through the years as they make the transition from home to college life.


ROCHELLE NICKERSON

Rochelle has studied both modern dance and classical ballet for many years. She has been involved in a variety of productions, both as a dancer and choreographer. Rochelle and her husband, Joseph, are both graduates of Northeast Missouri Bible College and have two young children.


WENDELL NICKERSON

Wendell is a family physician at Heartland's Calvary Medical Center and also finds time to teach at HCC. He and his wife, Kathy, count nine Bible college graduates among their children and already have several grandchildren on the recruitment list for future years.


JAMES PALMER

Jim is a graduate of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a
Master of Divinity, degree. After many years of pasturing churches, he now makes his home at Heartland where he teaches in the Bible College. Jim’s love for young people is evident as he eagerly pours into those coming behind, including his own children and grandchildren.


ANNA SWARTZENTRUBER

Anna's love for God's word and for the historical context of the Bible are evident in her classroom. As well as teaching part-time, Anna also leads the Scribbles & Scribes publications department at Heartland.


DAN WHITE

Dan is a Northeast Missouri Bible College graduate with two years of music education at a university level and is currently enrolled in classes at Berklee College of Music. Dan is the Director of the Worship Arts department for the college as well as the Director of Worship for Heartland Academy Community Church. He and his wife, Felicity, have four young children.


FELICITY WHITE

Felicity was one of the first students who graduated from Northeast Missouri Bible College and has remained active with the school through worship and teaching since then. Currently Felicity is enrolled in classes at Ellis College of The New York Institute of Technology. Felicity is the mother of 4 children, Jesse, Claire, Ada, and Macy.
