Mission Statement

The mission of Heartland Christian College is to equip and prepare students to be servants of Jesus Christ, lifelong learners, and effective workers in local churches and communities around the world.

This mission expresses HCC’s desire to prepare students for their next step in life in three distinct areas: discipleship, biblical higher education, and service-oriented living.

Discipleship is central to the life of a follower of Jesus Christ. At HCC, classroom teaching, chapel meetings, church attendance, and individual relationships provide opportunities for students to understand and embrace a life of discipleship.

HCC believes strongly that its students are called to engage in biblical higher education that will provide tools and inspiration for life-long learning. The Word of God is Truth, and knowing the Truth and applying it to life provides the foundation that HCC students need to be prepared for each new step in life. HCC biblical and theological courses are a direct study and interaction with the Scripture, while all general and professional studies are taught through a biblical worldview.

Just as Jesus was a servant, HCC strives to develop the heart of a servant in each student. This is accomplished through biblical studies as well as practical applications in the local community. Students are encouraged to lay down their lives for others during their time in the college and in their future endeavors.
